UP Special TET 2026 – Apply Online

UPESSC has started the online application process for UP Special TET 2026 from 05 September 2026.

The last date to submit the online application and pay the applicable fee is 04 October 2026.

The correction facility is available up to 08 October 2026.

The Special TET examination is scheduled to be conducted on 03 November 2026.

UP Special TET 2026 is primarily an eligibility examination and does not announce a conventional fixed number of vacancies in the same manner as a regular recruitment examination.

The examination covers eligible teachers working at Primary and Upper Primary levels and eligible Special Educators / Assistant Teachers (CWSN) according to the conditions specified by UPESSC.

The Special TET 2026 is intended for candidates falling under the eligibility categories specified in Advertisement No. 03/2026.

• Teachers currently serving at the Primary Level may apply for the Primary Level Special TET, subject to the prescribed conditions.
• Teachers currently serving at the Upper Primary / Junior High School Level may apply for the Upper Primary Level Special TET, subject to the prescribed conditions.
• Eligible Special Educators / Assistant Teachers working with Children With Special Needs (CWSN) may also be covered under the prescribed eligibility conditions.
• Educational and professional qualifications must satisfy the requirements specified by UPESSC for the applicable level.

Candidates should read the official notification carefully because eligibility differs according to the level and category of candidate.

Candidates must possess the educational and teacher-training qualifications applicable to the relevant teaching level as prescribed in the official UP Special TET 2026 notification.

• Required teacher-training qualifications may include recognized qualifications such as D.El.Ed./BTC, B.Ed., B.El.Ed. or other qualifications recognized under the applicable rules.
• Candidates applying under the Special Educator/CWSN category must satisfy the specialized qualification requirements prescribed for that category.
• Special Education qualifications, wherever applicable, should be from the recognized institutions/authorities prescribed in the notification.

UP Special TET 2026 is primarily an eligibility test for serving teachers and eligible special educators. Therefore, candidates should follow the age/service conditions prescribed specifically in Advertisement No. 03/2026.

The applicable fee is to be paid through the online payment method provided during the application process.

The Special TET is an eligibility examination. Passing the examination does not by itself guarantee appointment to a teaching post. Recruitment and appointment will remain subject to the applicable government/service/recruitment rules.
