A valid GATE score is the most important requirement for this recruitment. Candidates must have a valid GATE score from 2024, 2025 or 2026 in the paper corresponding to the discipline selected.

Candidates must possess the prescribed technical qualification relevant to the discipline applied for. The qualification must be obtained on or before 30 September 2026.
A pass in M.Sc. / MS / MCA / B.E. / B.Tech. in prescribed relevant fields such as Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software System, Information Technology or Informatics, as applicable to the discipline.
Candidates must also possess a valid GATE 2024, GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the relevant paper code.
No prior work experience is required for this recruitment, subject to fulfilment of all prescribed eligibility conditions.
Age will be calculated as on 30 September 2026.

The application fee is ₹800 per discipline for candidates who are required to pay the fee.
Candidates applying for more than one discipline must pay the applicable fee separately for each discipline.
Scientific/Technical Assistant-A is a Group-B Non-Gazetted Scientific & Technical post under Pay Level-6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/-
Selected candidates will also receive applicable Central Government allowances and service benefits according to the prevailing rules.
A category-wise merit list will be prepared separately for each discipline on the basis of valid GATE 2024, GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score.
Candidates are shortlisted from the discipline-wise/category-wise merit list according to the prescribed recruitment rules.
Shortlisted candidates must appear for Document Verification with the original certificates and documents.
In case candidates obtain the same merit position based on GATE score, the prescribed tie-breaking rules will be applied.
