There is no application fee for applying to POWERGRID apprenticeship.

Candidates may, however, have to bear any applicable charges imposed by NAPS/NATS or their bank/payment service, wherever applicable.

POWERGRID has published separate regional notifications because apprenticeship trades, training locations and available slots can vary by establishment.

Candidates must select only one eligible region/state/trade as prescribed by POWERGRID. Multiple applications can result in rejection.

Stipend and training conditions can vary by regional notification. Candidates should check the notification of the selected region before final application.

The qualification must be from a recognized institution/university and must be completed within the prescribed period.

Part-time, correspondence, distance or online qualifications are not eligible where the regional notification specifically requires a full-time regular qualification.

Candidates must have passed their final qualifying examination within two years before the closing date of application.

Since the closing date is 10 September 2026, candidates whose final examination result was declared within the prescribed two-year period can be considered, provided all other conditions are met.

Candidates whose final examination result is still awaited at the time of application are not eligible.

The date of declaration/publication of the final result should be clearly mentioned on the final/consolidated marksheet or supported by an appropriate certificate/document from the institute or university.

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Candidate must have completed 18 years of age.
• Candidate must possess the required educational qualification for the selected apprenticeship trade.
• Candidate must be medically fit according to the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
• Candidate must not have already undergone apprenticeship training in any organization for any duration.
• Candidate must not have more than one year of job experience.
• Candidates awaiting their final examination result are not eligible.
• Candidates must possess an active Aadhaar-linked bank account capable of receiving Direct Benefit Transfer wherever required.

Candidates are required to register themselves on the appropriate apprenticeship portal before applying to POWERGRID.

Stipend is apprenticeship training remuneration and should not be treated as the regular salary of a permanent POWERGRID employee.

Shortlisted candidates must produce their original documents during the Document Verification process.

3. Register on NATS if applying for Diploma or Graduate Engineering apprenticeship.
4. Complete/update your apprenticeship profile and upload all required documents.
5. Visit the POWERGRID apprenticeship application portal.
6. Select the eligible region/state/trade.
7. Fill in the required personal, educational and apprenticeship registration details.
8. Upload the required documents and photograph.
9. Review all information carefully before submitting the application.
10. Submit the application before 10 September 2026.
11. Download/print the application confirmation for future reference.

Candidates should apply for only one region/state of their choice. Multiple applications or applications for more than one region/state/trade may be rejected.

• Candidates should ensure that their final qualification result falls within the prescribed two-year eligibility period.
• Candidates whose final result is awaited are not eligible.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training in any organization are not eligible.
• Candidates having more than one year of job experience are not eligible.
• Full-time regular qualification is required wherever specified in the regional notification.
• Candidate details should match the Matriculation certificate, Aadhaar and bank records wherever applicable.
• Incomplete applications or applications without required documents may be rejected without further communication.
• False information or invalid documents can result in disqualification at any stage.
• Apprentices will not have any claim for regular employment in POWERGRID after completion of training.
